Photo caption: The student council from Deauville Gardens West Elementary School in the Copiague School District was busy throughout December collecting mittens, gloves, hats and scarves for those less fortunate this holiday season. The student council set up a mitten tree in the cafeteria for students and staff to drop off donations. All of the items were delivered locally prior to the holiday break.
